1. Publisher

Luma Reader is published by Julien Mery (sole trader / micro-entrepreneur), 10 place du Village, 38180 Seyssins, France — SIREN 820 603 397 — VAT FR61 820 603 397 — junit38@gmail.com.

2. Acceptance

By downloading or using the Luma Reader app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

3. The service

Luma Reader is a reading application. Its features include RSVP (word-by-word) reading, local storage of texts and documents, reading statistics, favorites, a floating reader on Android, and optional discovery and import of online content. Luma Reader is currently free of charge. If paid features are introduced, their price and conditions will be shown clearly before any purchase.

4. No account required

Luma Reader does not require an account. Your library is stored on your device only: you are responsible for keeping copies of content you want to preserve. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes your library.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to content you own. You may only import or use material that you have the right to use. Import features are provided for personal reading and do not grant any right to reproduce or distribute third-party articles or books.

6. Third-party content

Search results, articles, feeds and public-domain books come from independent providers. Their availability, licensing, accuracy and regional restrictions may change at any time. Luma Reader is not affiliated with these providers and is not responsible for their content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to bypass access restrictions or paywalls, overload online services, exploit vulnerabilities, reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or use Luma Reader to redistribute copyrighted material unlawfully.

8. Intellectual property

The Luma name, logo, design and software are the property of Julien Mery. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes. App store terms (such as Google Play's) also apply to your download.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Luma Reader working well but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The app may be updated, changed or discontinued. Online features depend on your connection and on third-party sites, which may change or block access.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage or for loss of locally stored content. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (articles L.224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the app or on this website.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, please contact us first at junit38@gmail.com so we can find a solution. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
